Julie Voorhees

Arriving in Colorado from Texas in June of 2014, Julie began her career in real estate as a Realtor® and an engaged member of the Douglas Elbert Realtor® Association (DERA). During that time, she was named DERA's Rookie of the Year and honored with the Ping Lee Jung Volunteer award by the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce. When DERA and DMAR merged, Julie quickly became well immersed in DMAR taking on the role of Chair of the Douglas Elbert District. 

In 2019, she had the opportunity to pursue a long-time passion for fundraising when she hung up her real estate license and joined the Denver Center for the Performing Arts as the Capital Campaign Director overseeing a $36 million capital campaign renovating the 40-year-old theater. 

In January 2021, missing the great connections and friends she had made while in real estate, Julie joined the DMAR staff. "How could I not jump at the opportunity?! And, here I am, working with a great team and adding value to our members' businesses."

In her spare time, Julie enjoys gardening, hiking and traveling with her partner.
