WHY: Curling…that mysterious sport we see every four years during the Winter Olympics but aren’t quite sure how it works or what to make of it. Now is your chance to see for yourself how fun and competitive it can be! Join the West District for their first-ever curling event at the Denver Curling Club in Golden. A taco bar will be set up throughout the event so working up an appetite is highly encouraged. If you’re wanting to attend without getting your curl on, we have networking-only tickets available as well.
PRICE: Curling & Taco Bar, $65 | Networking & Taco Bar, $12
HOW IT WORKS: During a game, teams of four compete against each other by sliding stones on a sheet of ice toward circular targets, using only brooms to alter the state of the ice in front of the stone. It’s often compared to shuffleboard or boules.
This is a DMAR event hosted by the West District, all members are encouraged to attend.
