ACCESS Housing Receives Grant Through the Colorado REALTOR® Foundation

DMAR, in partnership with the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR), is thrilled to announce ACCESS Housing as one of the four organizations to receive a $1,675 grant through the Colorado REALTOR® Foundation.

We are honored to be able to support non-profit organizations, like ACCESS Housing, that make homeownership possible for everyone.

"With skyrocketing housing costs in Colorado and most wages remaining stagnant, many families are now finding themselves homeless. The ‘face of homelessness' is not always what we think and is definitely not an issue unique to Denver only. ACCESS Housing is one of the only shelters serving families in Adams County, we also offer an array of services aimed at self-sufficiency and homeless prevention. Maintaining funding for these services can be a challenge and often times costs more than reimbursement rates.

Awards such as this from the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS® allow agencies like ACCESS to continue to do the important work of serving our most vulnerable community members. On behalf of ACCESS and the families that we serve, a heartfelt thanks for this award, especially as we approach this time of Thanksgiving." - Angela Bornemann, Executive Director ACCESS Housing, Inc.

The Colorado REALTOR® Foundation

The Colorado REALTOR® Foundation (CRF) is a registered 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, who's mission it to aid individuals by funding Colorado Nonprofits that ensure safe and affordable housing, to educate on home ownership, and support disaster relief.  Its vision is to leave a legacy that will impact Colorado residents, now and far into the future, to educate about the importance and facts of home ownership, and to cultivate the American dream that everyone deserves a home. CRF will have three programs that will allow us to achieve our mission, Housing, Education, and Disaster Relief.

ACCESS Housing

Founded in 1983 by a group of Adams County residents, the mission of ACCESS Housing is to help homeless families gain independence, self-sufficiency, and permanent housing through a continuum of care in collaboration with community partners.  Its primary goal is to prevent homelessness while ensuring that the families we serve do not experience homelessness again.  The organizations focus on the values of family and community, honesty and integrity, and respect.
