About Our Speakers

elliotElliot Eisenberg, Ph.D. is an internationally acclaimed economist and public speaker specializing in making the arcana and minutia of economics fun, relevant and educational. He earned a B.A. in economics with first class honors from McGill University in Montreal, as well as a Masters and Ph.D. in public administration from Syracuse University. Eisenberg, a former Senior Economist with the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, D.C., is the creator of the multifamily stock index (the first nationally recognized index to track the total return of public firms principally involved in the ownership and management of apartments), the author of more than eighty-five articles, serves on the Expert Advisory Board of Mortgage Market Guide and is a regular consultant to several large real estate professional associations, hedge funds and investment advisory groups. Dr. Eisenberg is the Chief Economist for GraphsandLaughs, LLC, a Miami-based economic consulting firm that serves a variety of clients across the United States. He writes a syndicated column and authors a daily 70 word commentary on the economy. He is a frequent speaker on topics including economic forecasts, economic impact of industries such as home building and tourism, consequences of government regulation, strategic business development and other current economic issues. Elliot has visited 49 of 50 states and 45 of 50 state capitols (ask him which ones he is missing). He loves ice hockey and talking economics with crowds large and small.

jjJ.J. Ament is the president and CEO of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, the leading voice for Colorado's business community. He is focused on effectively advocating for small and large businesses in our region. Before being appointed to his current position, he served from 2017 to 2021 as the chief executive officer of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, a part of the Chamber family of organizations and the largest privately funded and governed economic development organization in Colorado. With experience in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, J. J. brings a unique combination of expertise to the role. An investment banker for most of his career, he participated in more than $15 billion of transactions for governments and public-private partnerships throughout the U.S. before leaving the industry in 2016. J. J. has been a member and chairman of the Colorado Economic Development Commission, where he considered state economic development incentives, grants and tax credits for business and tourism projects statewide.

pattyPatty Silverstein is the president and chief economist of Development Research Partners, a Jefferson County, Colorado-based real estate analysis and economic development research company founded in 1994. Ms. Silverstein's expertise is in economic research and economic development, including industry cluster studies and strategic economic development planning. She has extensive experience in preparing economic and fiscal impact analysis for community development purposes. In addition, she serves as the consulting chief economist for the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp. and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. In these roles, she compiles, interprets, and forecasts economic and demographic data for the Denver metropolitan area and performs in-depth research on issues and proposed developments impacting the region. Patty provides numerous presentations on state and local economic conditions to business and professional organizations throughout the year. Ms. Silverstein received a bachelor's degree in economics from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska and a master's degree in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Patty is active in a number of business and professional organizations, including the Economic Development Council of Colorado, the Council for Community and Economic Research, and the Denver Association of Business Economists.

Christopher Smith works as a Chief of Staff at Cherry Creek School District, which is an Education company with an estimated 3,194 employees; and founded in 1993. They are part of the Operations Executive team within the C-Suite Department Christopher is currently based in Denver, United States. Smith is a 24-year veteran educator and has been with the Cherry Creek School District for more than 11 years. Smith started his professional path as a fourth-grade teacher in Douglas County School District and progressed through roles as assistant principal and principal before coming to Cherry Creek Schools to serve as principal of Coyote Hills Elementary in 2010. From there, Smith went on to a role in district administration, serving as Executive Director of Elementary Education, where he supervised elementary principals and collaborated with district leadership to operate schools. In his current role as Chief of Staff, Smith led the district’s planning for the restart of In-Person and Online learning last fall in the midst of the pandemic. He also supervised the District Leadership Team’s efforts to create the Future Forward Strategic Plan and restructured district security to better serve schools and with a focus on equity.

AmandaAmanda Snitker has been a Colorado resident for more than 20 years and has lived in the Denver metro area since 2002. She has enjoyed living in the Baker Historic Neighborhood while owning a home built in the early 1900s. Amanda is a third-generation Realtor® and grew up with a father as a general residential contractor these relationships and knowledge have allowed her to live the Colorado lifestyle, offering credibility and expertise for the process of buying and selling homes to help her clients achieve their dream living experience.
