- The Canyons - a 3,343-acre master planned community.
- Castle Pines Town Center - a 354-acre planned development including residential, commercial, open space and schools.
- Castle Pines Valley (FKA Lagae Ranch) - a planned community of 231 single-family homes, 400 multi-family residences and 76 acres of open space.

Professional planner, Sam Bishop, AICP focuses on community development including complex development projects, land use planning and regulation, zoning, annexation and subdivisions. Bishop currently serves as the Community Development Director for the City of Castle Pines. Prior to joining the City of Castle Pines, previous professional experiences include working for private consulting firms providing a wide range of community development services through public—private partnerships to newly incorporated municipalities, specifically; the City of Centennial, CO (incorporated 2001) and the City of Johns Creek, GA (incorporated 2006). Mr. Bishop strives to help communities meet the challenges of growth and provide opportunities for people to live, work and play.
