A Denverite through and through, Sarah joined DMAR in 2015 after receiving her MBA with a Marketing concentration from the University of Denver and previously a BA in Film Studies from UC Boulder. Between undergrad and grad school, Sarah worked as an assistant property manager, which is where she caught the real estate bug. “It’s a huge part of our economy, our culture and our lives… what’s not to like?” With school behind her, she found a junior marketing position at DMAR where she has been repeatedly promoted, now to her current role as Director of Marketing & Communications.
Blessed with the unique ability to work on a highly visual, creative project in the morning and then something analytical and data-driven in the afternoon, Sarah brings all the tools to DMAR. In 2020, she earned national acclaim, being included in Housing Wire’s Top 50 Operational All Stars. That same year, she received the DMAR Chairman's Distinguished Service Award. She is presently Staff Liaison for DMAR's highly influential Market Trends Committee too.
Ask Sarah what she loves about the industry and working specifically at DMAR and her enthusiasm is infectious. “Every day is different. I love being able to steer everything from our website, email marketing and social media, to copywriting, events and campaigns. And working with Realtors® is fun.” One of the secrets to Sarah’s success is her empowering leadership style. “Be a leader, not just a manager. Listen and let people fail without repercussions. I also enjoy building relationships with members.”
Weekend highlights for Sarah include Pilates, shopping in Cherry Creek North, coffee at Aviano and going to Wash Park with her husband and their adorable Yorkie, Mr. Bowie.
