WHY: Castle Pines Mayor, Tera Radloff, and Community Development Director for the City of Castle Pines, Samuel L. Bishop, will discuss development activity in Castle Pines focusing on the progress of the Canyons, Castle Pines Town Center and Castle Pines Valley (FKA Lagae Ranch). 

The Canyons: The Canyons is a 3,343-acre master planned community which allows for a mix of land uses to create a live, work, shop, play community. Learn more

Castle Pines Town Center: The Castle Pines Town Center is a 354-acre planned development which allows for a mix of land uses including residential, commercial, open space/trails, and school. Learn more

Castle Pines Valley (FKA Lagae Ranch): Castle Pines Valley will include 231 single-family homes, 400 multi-family residences, an elementary school, 76 acres of open space, and the previously constructed Elk Ridge Park and American Academy school. Learn more

About the Speakers

Mayor Tera Radloff: Tera is passionate about preserving Castle Pines as a connected and vibrant place to live for years to come. Focused and objective, she has a strong commitment to efficiency, transparency, facilitating communications and conflict resolution as well as holding all of our elected leaders accountable to the people that they serve, the citizens of Castle Pines.  In addition to her passion for and interest for Castle Pines, her work experience on various large-scale projects has taught her to focus on issues in a rational manner and work collaboratively on a resolution. As a consultant, she is an accomplished, results-oriented professional who has lead successful initiatives for diverse clients such as Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Microsoft, Qwest, and the Transportation Security Administration in the areas of engineering, product development, methods and procedures, customer care and security.

Samuel L. Bishop: Sam Bishop is a professional planner with a focus on community development including complex development projects, public outreach, land use planning, zoning, annexation and subdivision. Sam currently serves as the Community Development Director for the City of Castle Pines.  Prior to joining the City of Castle Pines in 2008, he began his career in the private sector providing community development services through public
