Brendan Bailey to Depart DMAR; Amy Davies Named Interim CEO

Chief Executive Officer Brendan Bailey will depart the organization to become CEO of Bluegrass REALTORS® and Imagine MLS in Lexington, Kentucky.

Bailey’s last day with DMAR will be October 12, 2026. Amy Davies, DMAR’s Chief Operating Officer, will serve as interim CEO during the transition as the DMAR Board of Directors searches for the organization’s next leader.

“Brendan has been an incredible leader for this organization, and while we’re sad to see him go, we couldn’t be happier for him and his family,” said Lisa Nguyen, DMAR President. “During a period of significant change for both DMAR and the real estate industry, Brendan remained focused on strengthening our organization and pushing forward on initiatives that bring meaningful value to our members. We’re grateful for his leadership and everything he has helped build here, and we wish him tremendous success in Lexington.”

Bailey joined DMAR as CEO in August 2023 and led the association through a period of significant industry change. During his tenure, DMAR navigated the sale of REcolorado while expanding its focus on member services, education and professional development. Under Bailey’s leadership, the association introduced complimentary continuing education for members, added FOREWARN as a member safety and identity-verification benefit, and developed the Denver Metro Expert (DME) Designation, a new credential designed specifically to recognize Realtors® with demonstrated expertise in the Denver Metro market.

“This was a difficult decision because of how much I love this organization and the people in it,” said Brendan Bailey, CEO of DMAR. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together and, most importantly, of the ways DMAR has continued to evolve to better serve our members. The opportunity to lead Bluegrass REALTORS® and Imagine MLS while bringing my family closer to loved ones was one we couldn’t pass up. I have tremendous confidence in Amy, our staff and our leaders, and I know DMAR is well positioned for its next chapter.”

Amy Davies brings more than 15 years of experience with DMAR to the interim CEO role and has played a prominent role in the association’s operations and member services. She will continue to work closely with Bailey, the Board of Directors and DMAR staff in the coming weeks to ensure a seamless leadership transition and continued service to DMAR members.

“DMAR has a strong team, an engaged Board and an ongoing commitment to serving our members,” said Davies. “I’m grateful for Brendan’s leadership and partnership over the past three years, and I look forward to working with our staff and volunteer leaders to maintain that momentum throughout this transition.”

DMAR’s Board of Directors will share additional information regarding the search for a permanent CEO as the process moves forward.
