DMAR Announces 2026-2027 President and Board of Directors

DMAR celebrates its newly elected President of the Board, Kate Baldwin Wenzel, and incoming Board of Directors at its 15th Annual Inaugural Celebration.

DMAR announced its newly elected President of the Board, Kate Baldwin Wenzel, along with the 2026-2027 Board of Directors and Industry Partners, during its 15th Annual Inaugural Celebration held on October 20th at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.

The evening brought together members of Denver's real estate community to celebrate the installation of the 2026-2027 Board of Directors, the ceremonial passing of the gavel to incoming leadership and the graduation of the newest class of DMAR Leadership Academy participants.

“Real estate is a relationship-driven business, and I believe the same is true of strong leadership,” said Kate Baldwin Wenzel, 2026–2027 President of the DMAR Board of Directors. “Our industry is always changing, and that presents an opportunity to bring people together, share ideas and find better ways to serve our clients and communities. I'm excited to work alongside our Board and members to build on DMAR's strong foundation and help shape what's next for our profession.”

“Kate brings a combination of business experience and a genuine commitment to the Denver community,” said Amy Davies, interim CEO of DMAR. “Her willingness to embrace change will be valuable as our members navigate the opportunities and challenges facing the real estate industry. We're excited to welcome her as president and look forward to the leadership she'll bring to DMAR.”

Davies added, “The Inaugural event is a celebration of our members: those who give their time, talent, and heart to make DMAR one of the strongest Realtor® associations in the country. This year’s celebration perfectly captured that spirit.”

As the newly installed 2026-2027 President, Kate Baldwin Wenzel, a longtime Denver resident and residential real estate professional with RE/MAX of Cherry Creek, brings a background in marketing, business leadership and community advocacy to her new role. As president, she hopes to foster collaboration among members and help the association navigate an evolving real estate industry.

Before entering real estate, Wenzel spent 12 years at STARZ, where she led brand marketing initiatives, built teams and managed a marketing budget of approximately $40 million. She transitioned into residential real estate in 2017, joining RE/MAX of Cherry Creek, where she now serves as Team Lead of The Elevated Team. She previously served as president of the RE/MAX of Cherry Creek Board of Directors from 2021 to 2023.

Wenzel joined DMAR's Board of Directors in 2023 and has remained actively involved in association leadership, including advocating with legislators for fair housing and policies supporting homeownership. Beyond her professional commitments, she volunteers with and supports organizations including Project I See You, Denver Rescue Mission and local animal shelters.
