DMAR Announces 2026 Candidate Endorsements

Local elections can have a direct impact on housing, development, property ownership and the business environment across the Denver metro area. DMAR will continue to keep members informed about issues and elections that matter to our industry and communities.

As Colorado’s housing market and communities continue to evolve, local leadership plays a key role in shaping policies and decisions that affect real estate professionals, homeowners, businesses and future housing opportunities.

Ahead of the November 3, 2026, election, DMAR is announcing its candidate endorsements in Castle Rock, Denver and Parker.

DMAR conducted a careful, thorough vetting process for each endorsement, including candidate interviews and detailed discussions on issues affecting our industry, our communities and the future of housing in Colorado. The process allows DMAR to hear directly from candidates about their priorities and perspectives on issues important to Realtors®, property owners and the communities they serve.

Election Day Is November 3
The 2026 General Election is Tuesday, with polls and voter service and polling centers open from 7 AM to 7 PM. Ballots must be received by the county clerk by 7 PM on November 3 to be counted.

For Castle Rock, the mayoral race is elected at-large, meaning all registered Castle Rock voters will see the mayoral candidates on their ballots. Castle Rock conducts its elections by mail ballot in coordination with Douglas County, with ballots scheduled to be mailed beginning October 2.

For Parker, the election will be conducted by mail ballot in coordination with Douglas County. Ballots are scheduled to begin mailing October 12, and voters will elect three Town Council members.

In Denver, voters will decide the special vacancy election for City Council At-Large Seat B, which was created following Sarah Parady's resignation. The election will take place November 3 and will fill the remainder of the current term.

How to Vote
Colorado voters can register to vote, update their registration and check their voter information online through the Colorado Secretary of State's voter resources. Voters who register at least eight days before the election can receive a ballot by mail. Those who register after that deadline can still register and vote in person at a Voter Service and Polling Center.
