These members have stepped into an important volunteer leadership role that plays a critical part in protecting property rights, advancing smart housing policy and strengthening Realtor® advocacy at the state level.

What Is a State Political Coordinator?
A State Political Coordinator (SPC) is a Realtor® who serves as a trusted, year-round liaison between the real estate industry and the Colorado General Assembly. SPCs help ensure that Realtor® voices are heard by building strong, professional relationships with state lawmakers and providing insight on how proposed legislation impacts real estate, housing markets and consumers.

SPCs serve under the direction of CAR’s Government Affairs team and work closely with CAR leadership to understand legislative priorities, policy positions, and emerging issues affecting Realtors® across Colorado.

A Meaningful Commitment to Advocacy
Serving as an SPC is a significant commitment of time, energy and expertise. SPCs participate in training, attend regular meetings, stay informed on legislative issues and actively engage in advocacy efforts throughout the year, especially during the legislative session. Their service strengthens both CAR’s and DMAR’s collective voice on issues that matter to our industry and our communities.

We are grateful to Milford, Amy, Malisa, Cooper and Chris for their willingness to lead, advocate and represent Realtors® with professionalism and integrity. Their involvement helps ensure that real estate expertise is part of the conversation when decisions affecting housing and property rights are made.

Thank you for your service, and congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
