Realtor® vs. real estate agent - What's the difference?
The two titles are often used interchangeably but they are different. All real estate agents hold the same basic real estate license, but not all hold the Realtor® title. A Realtor® is a trademarked term for a real estate agent who is a member of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), the largest trade association in the country. Realtor® pledge themselves to abide by a strict code of ethics and commit to more rigorous professional development and professional conduct which is entirely for your benefit, and it pays off! By the numbers, Realtors® outperform real estate agents.
