REcolorado Syndication Program Lets You Decide

REcolorado has launched a new program designed to give brokers more control of where their listings are advertised on the Internet. The REcolorado Syndication Program gives brokers the ability to open syndication channels to their offices, and gives listing brokers and agents the chance to select syndication channels for each of their listings. Listing brokers can even choose to display their listings locally—on REcolorado.com and broker IDX websites—before they are made available to syndication channels.

Currently, realtor.com and ListHub are included as syndication options. Additional channels will be added as partnerships are formed that protect broker listing data.

If you are a Managing Broker, you need to go to Syndication Office Settings and choose which syndication channels you want to make available to your office. Your selections will be made available for listing brokers to select as they enter each of their listings in Matrix. Opening channels is easy. Just go to CONNECT (login to Matrix), click the Office Syndication Settings button, make your selections, and save. If you want a visual guide for these instruction, REcolorado has released this PDF on how to change office syndication settings.

If you are a Listing Broker, you now have the ability to select syndication channels for each of your listings in the Internet Display tab during listing input in Matrix. Be sure to update all active listings that you want syndicated. Listings that don’t have selections will not be syndicated. For more information and detailed instructions, see this PDF on how to change listing Internet display and syndication settings.

Listing syndication is an important factor of your marketing and advertising program. Mass advertising, or opting-in to as many channels as possible, is no longer considered a best practice. Today more than ever, it is important to customize a marketing and advertising plan for each of your listings to get the best results.

Spend time to become educated about syndication so you can make the best choice based on your listing, your client, and market conditions. Start with the resources REcolorado has assembled for you on REcolorado.com and the REcolorado Professionals Blog, or via their master syndication blog post. You will also want to talk to your Managing Broker to learn which channels your listings may be syndicated to via ListHub and agreements that are in place through your brokerage.
