Celebrate Fair Housing Month 2022 with DMAR

Every April, DMAR commemorates the passage of the Fair Housing Act of 1968 with events and education that shine a light on housing discrimination and segregation.

April 11 | At Home with Diversity® [Class]

Realtors® know the importance of adapting and remaining relevant in today’s marketplace. By developing a business practice rooted in inclusion and equality, you can help buyers of all cultural backgrounds achieve the dream of homeownership. The At Home with Diversity® (AHWD) certification course teaches you how to work effectively with diverse populations so you can build business success in today’s multicultural real estate market. Bonus! The At Home with Diversity® certification course counts as an elective for the Accredited Buyer’s Representative® (ABR®) Designation and Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) Designation, and towards the C2EX Endorsement. April 13 | GRI Fair Housing [Class]

Think housing discrimination is a thing of the past? Think again. In 2018, over 30,000 complaints were filed across the U.S. and many violations are never even reported. Discrimination lurks in every corner of housing, including renting, lending and showing. As Realtors®, we are on the front line of defense against housing discrimination and education is the best tool to keep your business fair and free from liability. Join us for this 4 CE credit class and learn how you can be part of the solution, not the problem. April 23 | Housapalooza [Event]

We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting our first-ever consumer-facing event on Saturday, April 23rd. The event is FREE for the general public (please encourage your first-time buyers and sellers and friends & family to attend). Realtors® and Industry Partners are invited as well (tickets start at $15). No matter where your clients are in the homebuying or selling process, invite them to attend this event for first-time homebuyers and sellers... and FYI, this is NOT your average housing fair. The day will include a keynote speaker, a panel of people who have been where they are (and have completed the homebuying process), informational booths and Q&A with top real estate experts so they can learn the ins and outs of homeownership. We’re here to demystify the homebuying and selling process. Register Here
