Apply Now! CAR, NAR and REcolorado Director Positions

The DMAR Board of Directors is seeking to fill the following positions:

  • Two NAR Director positions for a term of one or two years beginning December 1, 2021
  • Five CAR Director positions for three-year terms beginning December 1, 2021
  • One REcolorado position for a three-year term beginning November 1, 2021

Applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Friday, July 30th.

Mortgage applications jump 16%

After several consecutive weeks of drops, mortgage applications jumped 16% for the week ending July 9, 2021, according to the latest report from the Mortgage Bankers Association. The prior week‘s report showed a 1.8% drop in applications to the lowest level since January 2020. The sudden increase in applications was driven “heavily” by increased refinancing as mortgage rates dipped again, said Joel Kan, MBA associate vice president of economic and industry forecasting. Read More


Denver home-ownership “totally out of reach” for low-income earners, according to one assessment

The median closing price for homes in this city landed at $545,000 last month, according to the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS®. All kinds of workers probably couldn’t afford at least half of the houses and condos that sold in June. Denver housing inventory increased 50% from May to June

DMAR's latest data show that while Denver's housing inventory is still historically low, inventory and new listings were both significantly up in June compared to May. Why it matters: Denver buyers have been facing all-out bidding wars for the last six-plus months.
