Coffee Break with Euan Graham

No one could have prepared Euan Graham for his year as DMAR's Chair of the Board. Just five short months after being sworn in for his term, a global pandemic hit and let's just say, it threw quite a wrench into everyone's plans forcing Euan to navigate unchartered territory.

He certainly rose to the occasion, however, and showed the importance of leadership during challenging times. On top of navigating conversations with political leaders to help keep real estate categorized as essential during stay-at-home orders, Euan was also charged with another challenge: finding a replacement for Ann Turner, DMAR's CEO.

We sat down with Euan at his office to discuss his year as Chair, strategies for business planning, the advice he'd give to new agents, how his business was impacted by COVID-19 and more.

Real Estate in 2021: Plenty of Reason for Optimism
The housing market was a spectacular surprise in 2020—and the positive trend will continue this year. Home sales in 2021 are expected to rise by around 10%. Home prices will also climb, but I expect more moderate increases than we’ve seen, a break for first-time buyers. Mortgage rates will continue to be favorable, staying at or near historic lows of 3% on average. The labor market will strengthen, especially as vaccines become widely available and life moves toward normal. Read More
