The index of pending home sales fell 2.8% in January after four consecutive months of declines, the National Association of REALTORS® said Thursday. The index captures real-estate transactions where a contract was signed but the sale has not yet closed, making it an indicator of where existing-home sales will go in the months ahead. Read More
When it comes to challenges, the No. 1 challenge by a long shot is finding inventory. It’s also what keeps brokers up at night, with about half mentioning the lack of housing inventory as a write-in answer for current challenges.
