DMAR's John Lucero Receives National Realtor® Advocacy Honor
DMAR is proud to celebrate one of our own, John Lucero, for receiving one of the National Association of Realtors®' highest advocacy distinctions: the Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) Meritorious Service Award.
Presented annually by the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), the FPC Meritorious Service Award recognizes just two Federal Political Coordinators across the country who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication and impact in advancing real estate policy and strengthening communities through grassroots advocacy.
This year, John was selected as one of only two recipients nationwide, an extraordinary accomplishment that marks the first time a Colorado Realtor® has received this prestigious honor.
John currently serves as NAR's Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) for U.S. Senator Michael Bennet, acting as a vital liaison between the Realtor® association and the senator's office on issues affecting homeowners, property rights and the real estate industry. Through this role, John has worked tirelessly to ensure that the voices of Colorado's real estate professionals and consumers are heard on Capitol Hill.
A dedicated member of DMAR's Government Affairs Committee, John has long been a champion for Realtor® advocacy. His commitment extends to political engagement and investment in the Realtor® Party, where he is a Major Investor in the Realtors® Political Action Committee (RPAC) and has earned recognition in both the Colorado Association of Realtors® (CAR) and NAR RPAC Hall of Fame.
John is currently in Washington, D.C., alongside DMAR's leadership team during NAR's Realtors® Legislative Meetings, where thousands of Realtors® from across the country gather to advocate for policies that support homeownership, protect private property rights and strengthen communities.
